Terms of Service
These terms are short because the product is simple. By installing the extension or buying a licence, you agree to them.
Who is who
Search Browser History is a Chrome extension developed and operated by Metric Rise FZE LLC, Ajman NuVentures Centre Free Zone, UAE. Paid purchases are processed by Polar Software Inc. ("Polar"), which acts as the merchant of record: Polar is the seller on your receipt and handles payment, taxes and billing support. Google is not the seller and is not a party to any purchase.
What you get for free
The free version archives your browsing history locally, searches page titles and addresses, and includes filters, export and restore. It requires no payment and no account.
What you get when you buy
A one-time purchase buys a licence key that turns on page-text search: the extension captures the visible text of pages you visit, stores it on your device, and lets you search it. Page text is captured only from the moment you enable the feature; earlier pages cannot be indexed retroactively. The purchase is not a subscription and there are no recurring charges.
The licence key
- The key is for your personal use on your own devices.
- Do not publish or resell the key. A key that is refunded, charged back or abused stops validating, and the extension returns to the free tier.
- The extension re-checks the key with Polar about once a day, and a failed check never costs you the feature. Only an explicit refusal from Polar — a refunded, cancelled or revoked key — turns page-text search off. Being offline does not, for three days or for three months. The free features are never affected either way.
Your data is your responsibility, literally
The archive exists only on your device. We hold no copy and cannot recover it for you. Uninstalling the extension deletes the archive, and so can anything that deletes your Chrome profile data. The export feature exists exactly for this reason; use it.
No warranty
The extension is provided as is. We work to make it reliable, and its reliability claims are testable in its own settings page, but we do not guarantee that it is free of defects or that no data will ever be lost. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid for the licence.
Refunds
See the refund policy. In short: 14 days, write one email.
Changes
If these terms change, the date above changes. Continued use after a change means acceptance. We will not change the deal retroactively for a purchase you already made.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and disputes are heard in the courts of Ajman, UAE. Nothing here removes consumer rights you hold where you live. Nothing in them limits consumer rights that your local law grants you and does not allow to be waived.
